The Sun is rising ever later and global warming has been occurring locally through most of a fairly modest and mild January to February this year. But ask any Canadian and everyone in their heart of hearts is rooting for the sap in the Maple trees to get moving. And so the March to the 26th Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival is as welcome as the arrival of Spring. And this heart warming event is marked by the Pancake Breakfast out in the Sandy Flat Sugar Bush with Sleigh Rides, Country Music and Dancing, and a variety of sugar making events. In Town there is a flurry of Warkworthian activity preparing for the Antique Show & Sale, the Juried Art and Photo Art Show, the Library Open House with Book Sale, Readying the Petting Farm Creatures for their command performances, putting on the ritz for the Artisan and Jewllery Craft Show and Sale, cooking up the ingredients for the Food Fair with all the Shops on Warkworth’s Main Street done up in their Finest Goods and Services.
