Well Surprise Surprise – a There-is-no-Global-Warming Gulf of Mexico air mass has arrived with very warm water saturated air – so warm that the precipitation falls first as rain and then freezing rain all over Southern Ontario, Quebec and into the Maritmes. The result is 1/2 inch of ice coating snow everywhere – so thick, slick and bad that I could barely walk around to get these pictures.
These are rueful images – stunning in their beauty but also serious in their implications.
