Weather Canada says it will be crisp and cool, about 5C and sunny for floating your Fanny down the Ganny this coming April 2 weekend. You may still have time to register a float/boat for the 8-10k sojourn on the Ganaraska river – check here, but act quickly. Otherwise come down to Dale Road just north of the 401 and west of Highway 28 for best viewing of the starting Ganny Floaters. Be there by 9:00AM. And head on into downtown Port Hope for the finish line fun. There are plenty of good viewing points along the Ganny [but parking is a bit more problematic – expect to walk about 1/4 mile or so]. Bring your camera, maybe a water gun, but definitely a big sense of fun.
