Every Spring, regardless of the weather, and therefore more reliable than the Spring flowers or field plowing, are the local Festivals and Carshows. Its as if cars and their owners come out to show off what fixing and polishing have been accomplished over the “Winter break”.
Here are some examples from an Eastern Ontario Classic Cruise and Shine show in Cobourg at the Mall:
This was just some of the classy cars to be found every other Tuesday evening cruising the Cobourg Mall in Spring and Summer time. A nearby A&W Diner helps draw a crowd.

And a couple of weekends ago, Colborne had its auto show [oh and Farm Tractor show with Soap Box Derby and just-a-few kids at the Spelling Bee]. And there were certainly many very fine classic cars and trucks on display. Quite a few of the cars were directly from Colborne and the local area. I was surprised because only one or two were spotted before the show. Here are some of the fine vehicles at the Colborne Car Show:

What is amazing is the number of shows and cruises up and down the 401 corridor from Kingston to London and up the 400 cottage country spur . In sum, Central Ontario is dotted with great car shows and cruising opportunities.
