Throughout  the Niagara Peninsula from Hamilton and  Mississauga, along to the Caledon Hills the Bruce Trail Toronto Hiking Club has some wonderful outings throughout the year. The Bruce Trails strretches from Tobermoy on Lake Huron in the North to Niaga Falls where Lake Erie and Ontario meet so grandly in the South(see the map here).

The following pictures are from a Fall hike along the trail near the Royal Botanical Gardens

at the edge of Hamilton Harbour. The countryside trail winds right through the forests and as can be seen above you get deep into jungle-like settings. But the pace is pretty livable about 4-5km/hour and the climbing rise and fall is quite livable.

And the rewards of picture taking along the Trail – well I will let you be the judge.
